Automating the extraordinary: Technotraf ramps up jar cap production

New machinery has been installed at Quadpack's Technotraf wood factory to industrialise the production of unique shapes in wooden componentry. A high-speed CNC (computer-numeric controlled) milling machine and a six-head CNC sanding machine have been added to the plant's installations, following a €400,000 investment.

The five-axis, eight-head milling machine features the latest technology, enabling accurate manipulation of a greater volume of wooden jar caps, including unusual shapes. The new sanding machine is connected to an automatic saw for improved workflow between the two manufacturing processes.

With these new additions, Technotraf now boasts an integrated, high-speed line for jar cap production – in exciting shapes and forms – with an output capacity of 400pph and thousands of work hours saved. Another leap forwards in expediting the industrial process to bring true differentiation to beauty brands!

Technotraf Wood Packaging is certified by both the FSC and the PEFC and sources wood from sustainable forests in Europe. All of its waste is recycled for animal bedding, chipboard and biofuel.
