The fourth article of Quadpack’s packaging development series dives into our manufacturing processes and capabilities – and how they help beauty brands perform. We invite you to discover how our manufacturing teams work to deliver the perfect packaging for each client.
A new production line has been installed at the Quadpack Plastics injection-moulding plant to manage the increased volume of acrylic jar manufacture. Quadpack’s Manufacturing Division now has a combined production capacity of 170 million items a year, including the Quadpack Wood and Quadpack Impressions facilities.
The Healthy Underarm Detox Mask by US brand Lavanila is an all-natural treatment mask formulated to detoxify and beautify the underarm area, while working to ease the transition to a natural deodorant. This entirely new body care concept comes in surprising packaging developed by Quadpack. The brand needed a solution to protect the complex formula, while simultaneously making it easy to dispense and apply. Quadpack's Brush Tube provided the answer.
Quadpack Impressions has been upgraded with a brand new decorating line. The installation offers high-precision screen printing and hot-stamping on glass bottles, as well as other materials. The plant now offers a complete, Europe-based decoration service for all types of beauty packaging.
Since its incorporation into Quadpack Group in April this year, the production experts of the Manufacturing Division have been streamlining the layout of the plant. The new setup ensures optimal workflow, from injection-moulding, through decoration, to assembly and warehousing. The arrival of a high-end injection moulding machine in June signifies the start of two-year plan to deploy state-of-the-art injection moulding equipment at Quadpack Plastics.
Quadpack Group's decoration plant has a new name. Krampak, which was incorporated into the group in 2014, has now been rebranded 'Quadpack Impressions'. Two years since its inclusion, its facilities and its turnover have seen significant growth. The rebranding reflects its full integration into the group and the incorporation of the decoration facility at the newly acquired Quadpack plastics.
Quadpack has purchased Krampak, a well-established Spanish screen-printing company based in Torelló, in the heart of Catalonia’s Cosmetic Valley. The newest member of the Quadpack group of companies will benefit from a substantial investment to upgrade its facilities over the next few months. Once complete, Krampak will help improve efficiencies, accelerate response times and increase flexibility for Quadpack’s customers.
Quadpack has launched its first range of packs focused on body products: the 'Body Care Collection'. Applying its recognized expertise in skin care, this elegant compilation of packaging concepts offers all the sophistication and style of a high-end cosmetics range. The Body Care Collection comprises packaging solutions for the nine most popular treatments, from body lotion to hair oil. Each pack features component parts carefully selected from the most suitable manufacturers according to functionality, compatibility and aesthetics.
Following extensive renovations and upgrades, Quadpack has officially inaugurated its manufacturing division in Torrelló, Catalonia, Spain. The state-of-the-art facilities now boast five separate areas, including the wooden component factory of Technotraf and the specialist decoration plant of Krampak. The new Division reflects the group's industrial strategy as an end-to-end provider of differentiated packaging solutions.
